I was wondering if anyone know the difference between a Pioneer A03/A04 and a Pioneer 104?Why the big difference in price? Does the A03/A04 have a better laser or is it compatible with more DVD-R's?

Any help would be greatly appreciated..
thanks

The 104 is the bare bone OEM version of the AO4 without any software to come with it.

The A03\A04 are the retail versions complete with a software bundle.

The 103\104 are the plain OEM versions, no software included.

They all use an IDE interface.

The specs I have seen have the A04 as ATAPI5 interface and the 104 as ATAPI4. But yes they are both IDE.

This basically means (if the specs are correct) that the A04 can support ATA66 where as the 104 supports ATA33 max.
