I tried 2 flash the bios but got "manufacturers id off" for a split second and then "manufacturers id 09 device id 00" and thats it... nothing else happens.

I had fitted the switch 2 the x-ecuter and tried with the switch off and on but it made no difference. So im thinking, should i fit the x-ecuter with wires instead of the pads, long enough 4 the chip 2 b outside the xbox so i can cut all the wires b4 attempting 2 flash!

As anyone tried this? If u have or have an appinion, let me know coz i cant do this for a few days yet.

Thanx,

Rebort.

Did you bridge the TSOP on both side on the motherboard?

what ive read from xbox-scene tutorials, is that LPC mods wont work, only the older 29/11 wire mods.....

Yep, bridged both sets. So whats the difference between the mods? They both allow un-signed code 2 be launched. I think that the switch on the x-ecuter doesnt completely disable the mod.

well when my chip is switched off, i cant boot any backups, or anything other than an original game. so I would say YES the switch works completely.

This is correct, have a look at Xbox scene if you want to know why.

Just curious but why would you want to flash the onboard BIOS? the x-ecuter has everything you would need, namely the eject hack and the HDD hack, what benefit would a the evox BIOS give you?

Peace
