Hi Yall

I've just moved out and started Uni and in my flat there is a LAN connection to the internet which runs at about 100kb. All is good you think, I can browse the web and download from it but what I can't do is get Winmx to connect. The Admin is stopping me from connecting. I thought I could get around it by using a proxy server but I can't seem to get them to work any ideas on this matter would be great, PLEASE HELP ME.

You've got to try and use HTTP tunelling. I've found it an absolute arse to deal with but there are prgrams like sockscap, httptunnel, a search on google will give you plenty of results. Some are pay programs and can't be cracked! And only functions at low speeds 2K or less
