Hi on the 2nd of this month, NASA broadcase video from a camera on the space shuttle as it went into space. I missed it :( is there anywhere i can download/view it?

Its not on there yet but it will probably appear Here (http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images/shuttle/index.html) when it does get put up.

I watched a Space Shuttle Launch from the VIP seats in Canaveral in 1998, totally awesome! one of the best events I've ever witnessed.

Watching from TV you have absolutely NO IDEA just how much power / acceleration is involved in getting that thing off the ground, not to mention the noise.

Yeah, this is the first time theyve attached a camera to the shuttle (actually the bug orange fuel thing) you see it go up then descend to earth again.

I dont think that part of the shuttle returns to Earth, I think it just floats off into Space somewhere to join all the rest of the junk up there.

The Rocket Boosters (on the side) come down again, I watched them being towed back into Port Canaveral behind Tugs a couple of days after I saw the launch. :)

Yeh! probably does, I thought you meant came right back down to be reused, I misunderstood :)
