For 60 bucks I can get a no solder mod that allows me to play SNES, Genesis, NES, TurboGrafix 16 and Mame emulators perfectly. They also make it so I can Vcd's Mpegs, divx, avi, etc to the hard drive? Do these solderless mods work for all Xbox's? I ask because I havent gotten and Xbox yet so I will probably get the newest kind at retail, unless someone want to make me an offer that would be considerably cheaper, including shipping, than the 200 buck retail price. If Xbox's can do all this stuff, I cant believe Xbox is not out selling PS2. These mods, to my knowledge dont require swapping or reset button tapping of any kind? I have a PS2 so I'm not used to the idea of a, I dont know, practical mod chip. I wouldnt even be that mad if Xbox goes out of business, as long as I have my emulator stuff on it I would be happy. It's not the same to play SNES gams on my PC.

I can.
Bought an XBox today and so far Halo is dissapointing, the first level was great but now its just repetitive and it seems like Im visiting the same place over and over! I hope it gets better...
and to answer your question you want an XBOX manufactured before August ... its got the date underneath the pack ... the one I got today was made in March so I dont think they must be shifting a lot

Hey I saw this site -> http://www.xodus-chip.com/ and there is a picture of this no solder required mod chip, however right next to "The Chip" is a thing called "The Programmer" I dont get it. Is the programmer another thing required, that may require soldering, that allows you to load new bios things to the Xbox? Because, like on the 9 wire open Xbox mod, it has the same printer connector thing that you use to add new bios's. AND on the regular no solder chip there isnt a place, as far as I can see, that allows you to add a bios. So what I am thinking now is that there is a no solder mod, but if you want to add a bios you have to *** this programmer thing. I hope I'm wrong. Can someone post a pic of the programmer mod that is on the regular chip.

the programmer connects to your parrellel port on your com then you flash the chip once thats done you then install the chip to the xbox ... it doesnt need any soldering and it looks very easy (hopefully it is :D)
