Does it matter what speed you burn on ps2 game.
I heard that if you burn more than 8x,
the game movie is kind of skiping frame.

It all depend if your ps2 have good laser or not, the media, and the burner. If you have all three of those good than you can burn it at like 24x. I burn all my games at 16x and it work perfectly. I use fujiflim for the cd-r brand.

Don't burn fast! Even if you have a good burner, you may be putting extra strain on the laser giving a shorter life span of the PS2.

Take your time, and your PS2 will last longer

no it doesnt matter

i burn games at 32x

my burner @ 40x

and the game works fine on my ps2, no music skip, no nothin!!

it all depends on the combination of your burner and discs...

in my opinion LG makes the best burners compiable with ps2

Just wondering, what type of media do you use? I have a lg and my ps2 doesnt like it when I burn at 24x

Depends, too, in part on the speed of your computer, which most people don't mention....I can copy games fine at 24x.....but thats a copy of a backup

Most people "can" burn fast, and I repeat CAN burn fast without noticing anything wrong while playing back. But over time, they will take there toll on the PS2 (any data that is not read properly must be read once again by the laser = wear and tear since the laser has to read the same thing over and over.)

What matters is you burner quality, Cdmedia quality, and laser quality.

I got games that were burnet at 48x, and they work great.
