View Full Version : Format c drive on a old laptop WinME-help--

I am trying to help a friend ,This is a IBM laptop (old) pentium 1 and only 32 Mram and is running windows me (I know is wrong) .What I try is to format the drive and star fresh with my copy of Window 98SE ,I boot it with the me floppy try to format A:/> format c:/s but is not working ,I did my others comp many times never a problem but this on is sayng \
bad comand or file name .
ANY answer for this one ,no recovery cd or original floppy .

Of course you do have format.com on the floppy.

the WinME bootdisk doesn't have c:/s
But the Win98 bootdisk does

Just boot with the win98 cd and follow on screen instructions it will format and everything itsself

are u aware of the the single space between c: and /s )c: /s
let us know if it work or try some time new.
