were in the uk can i order the magic chip.freinds keep bringing the consoles to be chipped but there ver6 and 7.i have heard that ver7 needs magic 3 chip is this true?also does the cip direct boot cdr dvdr like messiah?

Magic2.. Direct boot CDR and DVD-r.. just like messiah really.. same number of solder points.

First off, this belongs in the modchip forum. ;)

but no, it's not true. A magic 2 chip, along with all of the newer no swap modchips are compatible with v7 ps2. and yes, it's function is like the messiah and will direct boot everything. please also be aware that are no official magic 3 chips out at the moment. the sites that claim to carry them are using the name to help sales and will send to there customers (if they do send) clones or just any other chip that they have in stock.

Try Reading/Posting/Searching at the MOD CHIP forum on the board, it's THE FIRST message on the board. Read first, Search Second (Search for one word & more than three letters), then post third:
