does this require an EA patch for GS knife tricks?

i think it requires a EA patch, what chip do you have

i don't have a mod, just doing the gameshark 2.0 swap
i dont know if the layout of the disc is wrong or what.. anybody have a copy that works and wants to send me an index of their disc?
