can any one help me thinking of buying a dvd writer needs to be exernal.
i have heared there r two types a 4.5 and a 9.2 witch is best .
and where can i bye one at a good price

The largest blank DVD media is 4.7gigs (around 4.38binary gigs) unless you count double sided media.

Anyway, I'm moving this to consumer's opinion.
