NFS HP 2 lets you play as the cops! It's always been the most action packed racing game ever!

I was wondering this myself... they are both very good and to say one is beter than the other is tough. Why? Because they both have their strong and weak points. To have either one or both you'll have alot 'O FUN!!

NFS's AI is better yet control and graphics are better on BO2 plus the replay is full screen on BO2 but it doesn't make it better than NFS at all. The areas you race in in NFS are awesome and the graphics aren't that bad at all. The cars in NFS are real cars too while BO2's are not. BO2 can get a little boring too after playing it for a long time because they take you back to the same areas but so does NFS but here it doesn't get boring... Now in Burnout 2 the CRASHES are nothing short of fantastic! And the replay of them (if you get into a huge crash) are great. You can't go wrong with either... ;)

I myself have to give the nod to NFS HP2 because it is HOT... but again BO2 is great too!

In BO2 when you crash does it still switch to replay mode ? Or is it now all done in real time ?

Real time wrecks and then you can watch them again at the end of the race in the replay.... cool stuff!

I have both, Burnout 2 is very good for a quick blast, while NFS 2 is for more long term play.

The best ever Need for speed was the one reeased on the 3DO.

what annoyed me about burnout was the damn time limit and you couldnt escape from it,is this still in bo2?

CousinFizz

It does have check points but they really don't come into play all that much at first although as you get deeper into the game they do... Still it doesn't seem that tough though... (you'll see alot of the game before you have to think about it)

you say real time wrecks so does this go like you crash then the car resets?

Well, I'd like to be different and give my vote to Burnout2. Its a very unique game with an unbelievable sense of speed. My only complaint is that it is still very short. Longer than the original, but still short :(

Of course, I'm comparing to the Xbox version of NFS, which is very poor unfortunately. I'll be getting the PS2 version shortly ;)

Played both at my brother's house. Burnout 2 burns out pretty quickly. NFS has legs. You can play it and enjoy it longer. I'm gonna pick up NFS tmw.

just got burnout 2 its great a really fast game and great crashes but i think its too easy to win and theres not enough traffic ( the should make it so you really need to brake to nip in and out of traffic also they should have traffic jams)

IS IT ME OR AM I THE MAN

Burnout 2

Need for Speed is like test drive with bad graphics or atleast on the xbox

also EA sucks

I still like NFS but I've been playing alot of Burnout 2 lately and the more I get into it I just can't help but think that NFS should take a lesson from it. Man the speed is just awesome and the graphics and cars are so nice. I dunno like I said before it's a toss up... (I'm leaning BO2's way a little more than I was before.)

burnout 2 is very good - i lost a few hours last night playing it - nfs2 is alright but i am definetly a speed freak- so burnout wins
