Well hello there everyone I've never posted before so please bear with me, my question is what is the best CD rewriter to buy @ software to back-up my pc games @ music on because I at the moment have A ricoh dvd /cd rewriter but it dosen't like any other software other than nero and will not support clone or cdr-win at all so I am very fustrated with it so can anyone HELP:(

Moving this to consumer's opinion.

Get your self a Lite-On... The 52x one should be out soon.. As for software, each has it's own uses and everyone has their own preference.

I personally would'nt waste my money on a 52x and where's the media,i'd get a 32x or 40x thet places are getting shut of.

Plextor or LiteOn is definately the way to go. As for software, I'd suggest Nero for ease of use.

i have a lite-on 40x writer which is great, it cost £50 a couple of months ago and is probably less than that now, it can also be firmware upgraded to 48x easily.

For software, I only ever use 2 programs, Nero for data etc, and CDRWIN for music (mainly cos Nero gives bad results for music)

get a lite-on writer and I use nero software.
