Can anyone help - I have a script file in my Windows Temporary Internet Files Folder - yglELib9(1).js
Evertime I try to delete it my machine crashes. If I use Window Washer it crashes when it reaches that file, and Nornton Antivirus halts when the file is reached. Can anyone help.
Thanks

try booting into Safe Mode (Hit F8 whilst booting) and deleting it from there.
Or Boot with a Bootdisk (floppy) and deleting it through DOS.

Theres no simple expalanation as to what a Java Script file is. It can be loads of things.
Basically its a set of instructions telling your PC what to do. A lot of viruses are spread using Script Files *.vbs for instructions written in Visual Basic or *.js for Java.
Not all are bad though, try a search on Google for Javascript to see what sort of things its used for.
