i have a panasonic l50, which was from hong kong - it has a NTSC screen which means it plays pal in black and white :(

which mean it's gonna cost loads to convert it and get a new screen (which is not worth its while coz it al be so much money)

NTSC movies are region 1 and 2......i think?
does that mean that if i buy ntsc movies they will work in colour?

if yes - does anyone know a web site that sells region 1 and 2 dvds? or even which countrys are region 1 and 2?

thanks, just lookin for a way around this otherwize i am gonna have to ditch it and buy a new player

Being from the UK you really should what countries R2 covers and that it is generally not NTSC.

R1 covers the US and they are therefor generally NTSC.

not totally shure here but sometimes a scart lead sorts it out.
also if you buy dvdr s then the will be multiregion so should'nt cause any probs.
or smash telly and get new one on insurance
