im using TMPGEnc at the moment to change divx to dvd or mpeg but when played back after wards its all jerky does any one know why or wat to use instead.

I've been using TMPEnc for the same thing and never had that problem.

Is the video jerky when played on a stand alone DVD player or when you play the mpeg on your PC. If it's the later then OK i've had that problem but I put that down to HDD fragmentation but it plays fine on my Alba 108.

Could also be because of the original framerate and the output framerate.

ie. Input NTSC 29.97fps Output PAL 25fps.
