I use Easy CD Creator, and when I go to cd eraser it says " the device is not ready" how do i erase it?

Try to erase it with other app (CloneCd maybe), see if the problem ie in ECDC or not.

Some apps will not "see" a cd if it has certain errors on it.
The best programs to erase any cdrw are Cdmate and FantomCD (same engine). You can do a force erace that will ignore any eventual disc error.
