havent tried it because im having enough trouble as it is . my ao4 will only write at 1 speed with media my m8s r using at 2 speed. i got in touch with pioneer and picking the bones out of what they said was that the 1.32 firmware limits u to the media of what they decide to let u use to write at 2 speed. ie back handers from media manufactures. this is my own apinion but i think the story of the ao4 drive catching fire is a lie to get u to use this firmware and then have to use the firmware they choose if u want to write at 2 speed.

i was at a comp fair on sat (Bowlers) and a guy on a stall gave me a cd with hacked firm ware 133 on it for an A04 when i read the read me file with it it said that if this firm ware was used it would enable 2 speed writing with any media, bulkpaq purple gen3 ,etc,etc.
I Thought yeah right but my curiosity got the better of me and i updated.
Next thing i was burning at 2 speed on the fly on to bulkpaq purple gen 3 disks and they played fine in my pacific 1002.
Has any one else used this firmware? and did it work?
