I dont know if this helps but I bought an inexpensive aiwa shelf system (one of those min executive types for about $110)
and I connect those to my speaker port
Advantages:
1. You can use cd spind doctor to record lps, tapes, and
radio programs and sound that prevent you from recording
them and put it on a CD
2. This is also about the same price as a nice set of speakers
alone
In conclusion its all a person preference thing though
Hope that helps
