How do you make a 16:9 aspect video into a 4:3 for a regular TV? I'm using spruce up, smartripper, ifo edit, and recordnow max. I'm trying to back-up enough, it's like 7.8gigs and has both normal and widescreen on the menu, but when I rip it I only get 16:9 letterbox. Do I have to edit the .ifo file? thnx

I think I figured it out, in title 2 there's a 4:3 version of the film w/ vts_02_1.vob. You have to rip the title 2 section of the dvd for 4:3, to get that aspect ratio. Just in case someone needs to know. L8R

Yep, smartripper goes to the logical choice files being the movie, but when it has both formats, it picks the 1st one.....
