Can anyone tell me which one is better cuz I have been reading some great reviews about both. I am a big EA Sports fan but recenlty they have not been doing good with their basket ball games, while Sega was ruling the courts. I have read that EA have completely redesigned LIVE.

If you can only get one game, which one would you choose and why ??

2k3 wins.

the "2k" series have seemed to be more realistic and i think funner. Lives are good too, but i'd go for any "2k", especially in basketball, theres my 2 cents.

yeah basketball wise, i think you'd be better off going with sega. still, sega CAN'T touch madden 2k3!!!

Puhlease, Sega's NFL 2K series beats the EA's Madden series.
Btw NBA 2k3 is the top choice.

oh come on cousinfizz!!!! sure i gotta admit nfl2k3 has the better graphics, but it just doesn't feel right. what i mean by that is that it feels too unrealistic. but i guess everyone has a different taste...

Yeah and the Maddenisms are real right? There's no conversation at all in madden and the game like I say it the same as last year, what's with that? :(

Gameplay, graphics, commentary and all around better game is NFL 2K3 and NBA 2K3.... Sega, 'nuff said!!

Man am i going agaist the grain. Live is my guy this year. I bought both at EB and played around with them for a coupla days. 2k3 is good, but i returned it. Live is really fun. It moves fast and the freestyle control really gives the game a lot more detail. it's a big move for EA.

arsalan81, you could just rent em both, but i think as an EA fan you'll really dig on Live.

Long live EA...Just look at the graphics between Live and 2K3 and right away you'll see by far Live is much much better..

Yeah... I have to agree with you on Live this year. After playing the backups it's EA all the way with the basketball. Nice redo for sure. Now why can't they redesign Madden? Oh well there's always next year... NBA Live 2003, it's the one to get! Cfizz :tup:

I just get tired of playing the same game every year... cya...

I played NFL2K3 for the first time yesterday and went online with it. I have to say Madded is WAY BETTER. Even picking the plays in NFL2K3 is weird... you try and pick one play and it jumps to the other (dam analog joystick). Everyone talks about teh graphics and I woudl say that the only thing that impressed me was the players... and not to much better than Madden. Overall I think the game is OK... but its not even close to 10% as fun and realistic as Madden. is. The playbook is awesome but when you moive out of the poicket with the quarterback it always goes over the top... not side arm like madden does... Running the ball is easier on NFL2K3 but playing defense is kind of like going to a casino.. in Madden I know when I have my opponent stuffed and when Im gonna make a pick... Plus online play for Madden ROCKS!!!!!!!!

lets get this straight

if you want a realistic sim that follows the gameplay in every little detail get nba 2k3
if you want an arcade sim that is more fun to play but less realistic get nba live

and also graphics dont matter because both games have very pretty graphics
