i have just installed win2000 on a athlon 1800 /20gig hard drive..i have a Liteon LTR 3213 WRITER.. i have just done a 10 track CD and it took 7mins:6 secs. !!!!! surely that can,t be right??? writing at max..32speed??? help please...cheers Satcat:( :(

did u read the audio disc with the writer.i ask this because some cdrw drives are crap at digital audio extration.it might take a drive 5 mins to extract the music and then it will only take a couple of minutes to write it.you need a drive which is as fast at d.a.e as the writer is at writing the disc.plextors are good at extracting digital audio and sony cd roms.the idea is to balance everything out especially if your gonna write on the fly.if you dont you will keep emptying the buffer and under run protection will keep kicking in therfore it will take a longer time to write a cd.
