hey i m new to these forums and to ps2 of corse u can all tell by my name.
i have downloaded so many files of the boot disc and don't know which one will work i tried to burn 2 boot disc and they didn't work on my ps2,so does anyone have a real boot disc and can tell me where they got it and how to burn it on a CD-R/W.

i don't know how to burn a ps2 game i followed the tutorial at ps2@consolemax and when ever i pressed start in cdrwin there was an error
about couldn't load the disk. and i have CD-ROM and CD-R/W drives and do i need to buy a DVD-ROM Drive or a DVD Burner to burn/copy ps2 games? please help me

no such thing as a ps2 boot disk. you need a mod chip that autoboots the game - or a mod chip with a game shark or action replay

to be honest - read the FAQS and start from there. then come back and we can help you more

k thanks for getting that clear,but in the PS2@consoleMax site the tutorial with burning back CD-R backup Games does it work? and do u need a mod chip for those tutorials?

it can be a number of things m8. bad media, dodgey files etc.

you will need a mod chipp to play ANY back up and ANY game can be backed up.

as for your pee cee not wanting to burn the games - mght want to ask for help in the pee cee section.

you need a dvd-rom burner if you want to doa straight copy of dvd based games (still need mod chip)

OR, you can download them off the internet, dvd games that have been ripped to cd-r and burn them yourself using cdrwin

Try reading the faqs, they are helpful.

1. Get your system modded first, then worry about the burning games later.

and can does the PS@console max tutorial on burning DIRECT COPY USING and INDIRECT /MODIFIED/ PATCHED COPY work and how much is a mod chip in Canada and if anyone knows how to burn a ps2 game on a cd-r help me please

You don't need a modchip to play games, you can use the knife-swap method, should be more info about it in the FAQ.

do u need the original ps2 game always to play the back up copy in the knife-swap method or just once and does it ruin ur system?

what, of course..NO........you can't burn anything on a normal DVD-Rom drive.

If you want to burn to CD-R/RW - You need a CD Burner or DVD Burner
If you want to burn to a DVD-+R/RW - You need a DVD Burner

ok, is this the rite steps to burn a ps2 games?

1. GO TO CD R WIN, PUT PS2 GAME IN DA CD-ROM DRIVE

2. PUT BLANK DISC IN BURNER

3, CLICK FILE RIP

4. A SPEED SCREEN IS GONNA POP UP, CHOOSE 4X

5. CLICK BURN AND UR DONE

i don't know where file rip is i think it is Extract Disk/Tracks/Sectors is it?
and wen i click Extract Disk/Tracks/Sectors or Back up disk in CDRWin
i get an error it says " Error: 'LOAD DISK' command file on device 0:0:0 contains no disk or is not ready (4h 00h 02h 02h 04h 01h)

wats wrong my ps2 game is in my CD-Rom drive and a blank cd is in my CD-R/W Drive
