Sam_41 Oct 14, 2002, 04:24 PM I have cdrwin v.39b. I am trying to burn a PS2 game (pro evo 2). When I go to record disc and load the cue sheet- all is fine. The cuesheet data appears etc.
When I go on record disc I get an error message saying my burner (Pioneer 104) has rejected the cue sheet! I have burnt many ps2 games but this is the 1st on my new PC and on this burner. Please help me out. Thanks a lot,
Sam
P.S. If you need any more info just ask....
lhys09915 Oct 14, 2002, 05:34 PM try nero and burn the bin file without the cue.go to file select buen image select dir with files in select all files select the bin file open and select burn mode 2.
donhay Oct 14, 2002, 05:45 PM Pretty sure you can't use a Panny 104 with cdrwin. Not the right type of burner. Check crdwin website, it will tell you supported drives.
Nero does work though.
Sam_41 Oct 14, 2002, 08:21 PM OK thanks a lot for the help- am gonna try NERO now.
death chamber Oct 14, 2002, 10:32 PM try to edit cuesheet,,just double click the cue file and when it askes what program to open it
with just choose windoze notepad .....
then heres how 2 edit 4 burning
this is an example of what u might see when opening a cue file
FILE "C:\KAL-WIZD.BIN" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00
so now just delete the c:\ part or whatever is before the file name so it
looks like this
FILE "KAL-WIZD.BIN" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00
dont touch any other parts of the file or it wont work
i would suggest making a copy of the cue file until u are familiar with the
proccess ....
once u have edited the file just close it and it will ask if u want to save
changes...click yes and then burn away
Sam_41 Oct 15, 2002, 07:56 AM thanks deathvhanter but there is no C:\ in the .cue I already checked and it is normal. Gonna have to try with nero. Thanks anyway...
jackss Oct 15, 2002, 09:12 AM or burn with Discjuggler thats what I use, u dont need cue sheet in either discjuggler or nero
jacks
Zero Oct 15, 2002, 10:05 AM You should be able to use THE SAME cue sheet with Nero. I use cue sheets along with bin files to burn cds all the time with nero.
If that doesn't work you'll have to edit the cue sheet with notepad like death chamber said.
The reason you didn't see the "C:" in the file is because the path of the cue sheet is different on your system. You have to change the path of the file.
Sam_41 Oct 15, 2002, 12:11 PM to what?
the path is just gamename.bin . Do i need to put the pat then the game name in? I thought it was just meant to say "(name of game).bin . Also- NERO freezes when I try to load the cue sheet. Have tried several times now. I go to "disc image or saved project" then load the cue but it just freezes then...........
bleepster Oct 15, 2002, 12:16 PM get a copy of "fireburner" (i think its www.fireburner.com)
if you have a bin file, you can burn the bin using fireburner
syntaxx Oct 15, 2002, 03:20 PM make sure that bin file is spelled exactly the same as it is in the cue file
bleepster Oct 15, 2002, 03:24 PM just out of curiosity - how in the world can you get bins and cues NOT named the same.??? i dont get it
cleetus Oct 15, 2002, 03:45 PM I have a 104 too, just use nero, cdrwin is not compatable
Sam_41 Oct 15, 2002, 03:52 PM OK- the name of the .cue and .bin file IS THE SAME!!! OK, believe me- I have checked so many times.
Nero freezes when I try to load the .cue image. When using Fireburner, I got an error from that too! something about sending the cue to the drive failed. Another cd wasted!
As you can see this is really annoying me now. I want to play the game so badly too (Pro Evo 2)!! Can u just immagine having this game and not being able to play it?
Any thanks for all your help so far- have tried all te methods but problem is still there. Please help!
bleepster Oct 15, 2002, 03:55 PM using fireburner - did you use the Bin file?
seems odd to get that error with fireburner if you had used the bin. you can burn a bin when you have NO cue.
hmmmm - perplexing

Do you have the cue in the same dir as the bin ? cos you'll need to do that If it only has "(name of game).bin" in the cue, if for some reason you can't get the bin and cue in the same dir, then you can point the cue to the dir that the bin is in
If that isn't it then make sure you got the latest nero :\
death chamber Oct 15, 2002, 10:36 PM omg,,,,,,,,,lol
Sam_41 Oct 16, 2002, 03:14 AM yep, its in the same directory as the bin. I tried to burn with the cue on fireburner, so I am going to try with the bin only now.
Should that not work- I will get the latest Nero. Thanks a lot and I will let you know how I get on........
Sam_41 Oct 16, 2002, 03:24 AM OK when I try and load a track onto fireburner I cant find the .bin file. I have selected 'All files' on the bottom as well. The .bin file is there though, just checked.
Can I burn a .bin file by loading the .bin and .cue file on the data disc bit or does it have to be loaded from disc image or saved project mode? Can someone please knock up a quick guide on how to burn .bin files with Nero?
I am really appreciatting your help here and I am sure we will get to the bottom of it soon! Thanks a lot,
Sam
P.S. Have tried deleting the .cue and .bin file and unraring again but got the same results...
Jaymus Oct 16, 2002, 03:33 AM ??? Ok.....if you have bin and cue file this is what you do with Nero.
Open the cue file with NOTEPAD and see what it says:
It should say something like
FILE "YOURGAMENAME.BIN" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00
There might be a path before gamename, just delete it and make sure they are both (bin and cue) are in the same directory.
The track mode might be different than the example I used above. *DON'T CHANGE any of that, and the index line. LEAVE THOSE.
Now - Open up NERO.
Goto FILE - BURN IMAGE. Select the CUE file that you have or edited so there is no path (make sure both in same directory!)
That should be it!!! Make sure you pick a CD Burner and don't do SIMULATE, just burn the sucker, or it will be blank.
That should be it.
Jaymus
xcessive Oct 16, 2002, 08:22 AM Make sure you have Nero 5.5.6.4 or newer cos that's when it started supporting cue sheet images (latest now is 5.5.9.14)
Bond Oct 16, 2002, 10:17 AM Jaymus,
You can simulate with nero, i do it all the time and get results
Sam_41 Oct 16, 2002, 12:35 PM OK, I thought it would be something daft. I had Nero 5.5.9.9 and it kept freezing when I tried to load the cue sheet. Have jsut got Nero 5.5.9.14 and it burnt so easily!! Thankyou to everyone who participated in helping me out here- it was really appreciatted. I'm off to play Pro Evo 2 now!! Thanks a lot,
Sam
