whats the deal on buring games for sega saturn? is it the same as it is with dreamcast or do you need a mod-chip or somthing. thanks

Well, your asking two different questions. You need a mod-chip to PLAY Saturn backups, but not to BURN them. (obviously). You can burn Saturn games with about any software, even Adaptec.

There are swap methods. And they work fine, but then, you can ruin your Sega Saturn by doing them. Honestly, I do it.
There are 2 different models, look at the reset and power buttons, model one is circle buttons, model 2 is slanted oval buttons (But do correct me if I got those 2 mixed up)
Well, the first models are easier to swap, the second ones, you might have a hard time doing, so the easiest way are mod chips.

And any program can burn them.

Yeah it is the other way around lol. 1 is oval, 2 is circle ;)

I wouldn't bother with the swap method - it will kill your laser. Get the modchip if youc an, really easy to fit, only 3 wires to solder and the points are really easy to get to :)

More like kill the drive -- you have to yank the disc off while it's spinning
