System:
QDI Kudoz 7 M'Board
1600 XP Processor
256 DDR Ram
30 Gig HD
Plextor 24x Burner
Teac 40x Reader

When I had Windows 98 on above system I could burn a full 80 minute disk, on the fly, in about 4.30 minutes.
Now that I am running Windows ME its taking just over 7 minutes.
PSX takes considerably longer.
What can I do to get it back to full speed?

Ta in advance...

Two things come to mind here, the first is...Is DMA enabled? If not go into device manager for your burner settings and enable it along with your reader as well.

Second, is your ASPI layer OK? Download ASPI check from ROXIO and if it's no good upgrade it with "ASPI 4.60" also from there.

Hope this sorts it for you. :)

To Lazza,
Followed your advice about enabling the DMA settings for my burner & reader and am now back at full speed.

Best regards m8...
