I recently formatted my hard disk, then had some burning troubles. Once I remembered to enable DMA everything was fine and back to normal. Now, just a few days later, everything's gone mad again...
I can no longer burn a CD at 40x, the buffer randomly goes up and down, and the light on the drive stays orange. I just tried burning an image of a random MP3 CD, and it took 5:05.
I don't know what's wrong, as it was fine the other day and I haven't changed anything. If anyone could help, it would be most appreciated, no point having a 40x drive that burns like a 16x. :)
