Is it possible to make backup copies of windows disks (98SE and XP)? I burned a backup copy (using NERO) of win 98se & tried to use it to install win 98se on a formatted computer, and it did not work.

I attemped to do the same using blindread/write (v5.06). The write failed, indicating that there were invalid sector headers.

Any suggestions?

System:
Athlon 1800XP
512 RAM
Win XP pro
TDK 121032 burner

It should just go thru
Maybe too much scratches or I don't know
But I've done it a few time
It just went thru like nothing.

Windows CD's are not at all protected. Any disc copy program should copy them just fine.

Thanks. I didn't think there was any protection, but the problems I encountered caused me to consider the possibility.
