im running windows xp with the latest direct x and latest video card drivers ,however whenever i finish playing a game and come out of it ,the systems reboots ,this is everytime,getting really fed up with now and thought updateing card drivers would solve it but it hasnt ,have any of u guys outthere got any suggestions plz ???,cheers in advance for any replies .......jackas
motherboard is epox 8kha+ with an athlon xp 1.7 processor 256ddr ram if this helps

What version of Direct-X do you have ? as XP already comes with Direct-X 8.1 build-in, and version 9 is not due for another month yet last I heard.

Have you looked in the Event Viewer (start/controlpanel/admin tools/event viewer) to see what has happened at that time?

seems to be a service control manager fault ??? what does this mean or where do i look for further info plz ?

after it reboots i alwasy find these error messages in the microsoft report :

also in the event manager i find these reports :-

yeah i have now looked there m8 and it seems to refer to a problem with easy cd creator which i no lomger have installed ,does this mean that it has left drivers behind ?? and if so what should i do next ??

it may have left bits in the registry after being unistalled, try downloading regcleaner and checking.

if it shows up in reg cleaner its still got bits in the registry, try deleting with reg cleaner and see how you get on, good luck
