just bought a memorex 24/10/40 replaced it with my plexy 12/10/32 and tried to copy a few cd's, theyre all taking around 18 mins to copy, could this be due to the fact that im using only a 32X cdrom to read the cd's? or is it summet to do with firmware update?! (which i cant find on the memorex site)

do you have DMA enabled?? What order are HDD, cdrom and CDRW connected???

18 minutes to write or total time? What program are you using? I use CloneCD and when reading is done it tells me total time for read and when write is done it tells me total time for write. Post that info here ok?

it's ok ive sorted it out now, thanx for the help anyway people. :)
