not sure if i have heard right but is there something u can do if u have a copy of xp do u have to register it or something ? something bout 30 days to do it anyone explain ?

you need to activate it either by phone or online so that it will continue to work, or format the hard drive and reload, I did this as I was unsure wether or not I liked it and didn't want to activate it in case I didn't, I did like it and activated it later.

what if its a copy ?

Copies are illeagal, you need to purchace it.
