Hi
How do you know if a psx1 game needs patching??
I have never copied a game before so need to know plz.
I wish to copy one of my original games for backup as its getting scratched, i use xp and have cdrwin and nero 5.
If ne1 could help i would be grateful!

Well the only games that need to be patch is only the ea sports games !
There is a way to bypass all without patching any games, but it hasn't been display to the public yet so I'm just saying ;)

EASports games are not the only games that need patching. If you don't have a stealth chip or equiv then any anti-mod game would need patching.
If you are not going to use a RAW copy program then any libcrypt protected game would also need patching.

If it is scratched bad enough to give read errors when you try to read it forget it - it is too late then.

Thanks for the info, but how do you patch a game??
Like i said i have no idea on this! i tried earlier but no luck, i had the files all there but would not play on chipped psx! I used cdrwin to try it on.
The games are not too badly scratch, i wanted to do this before they were!
So how would you bypass the need to patch a game??

If you go here http://megagames.com/psx/psx_patches.shtml and read alot of the info you should be able to figure it out . I DID (and Im not to bright) ha ha try it and see how you go at least its a start
