I was looking today coz the supplied one is crap, The gamester one looked a bit smaller and OK - I think the S controller from microsft will on the market soon - its smaller and supposed to be better. Has anybody got and tried any of the above.

if you are looking for a smaller Xbox controller the japanese controller is about half the size and a slightly different setup . same basic shape but the two really small buttons are under the other four instead of atop
in japan they are ruffly 35000 yen about 30 US dollars and sometimes be bought on ebay for close to that amount. :beer:

The Controller S is great, it does feel more like the PS2 controller. I have both the original and S. I love the S controller, if you are more used to PS2 style. I recommend it, all aftermarket ones are crap. Same price, might as well get the Controller S

import shops may even sell a ps2 -> xbox convertor? worth a look round..

Yeah, just had a look on Lik-Sang and they do converters that allow PS/PS2 and Dreamcast controllers!

i take it ur in the uk matt, i recomend you get an S Pad Imported i got 1 :D there much better than the standard pad :tup:

Theyre releasing the S pad in the UK in November, and apparently theyre going to slowly stop selling the current ones, which is good stuff :D So you could wait until November and buy a UK one or import a JAP/US one.

Alternatively you could get a converter so you can use PS2 pads on your X Box, they cost about £15 and you can get them from places like lik-sang.com

youre all frigging midgets or ten year olds! theres nothing wrong with the standard one. it fits your palm like a glove and its a lot more comfortable after long play than a dual shock. it'll be a shame if they phase out the standard controller...

Nearly all X Box owners dislike the pad, thats why MS have redesigned it - its nothing to do with being a midget.

If you're happy with your current one then thats fine, but I think its great that MS have listened to their customers and are doing something about the pad...

In fact I'm really impressed with Microsofts customer service, when I got my X Box I couldnt find the scart plug (what a ****ing idiot I am) so I phoned up the FREE PHONE number at 11pm at night and the guy was really helpful - and he said if it wasn't in the box then they'd send a new one out next-day courier delivery! How about that for service!

The controller S was released in Australia on the 1/10/02 and its great. I like both but I only use the Controller S now!
