Hi guys,

Can anyone help? My PC has recently stated playing up. I have a system monitor (Memory Zipper + ) It shows plenty of physical memory & virtual memory, but the cpu usage constantly goes sky-high causing it to hang or slow down. I have 512 DDR ram memory, a 40 gig system drive & an 80 gig storage drive. The fan is running on the processor & it doesn't seem to get that hot.

I have reformatted 3 times! I have run scandisk, defrag and checked for viruses. I did find 2, JS_EXCEPTION. GEN & JS_TRAFFICHBARRA, Which I of course deleted. It's made no difference!

I thought it might be the processor going down, but was told by an engineer that it wouldn't work at all if that were the case.

I just don't know where to go from here. Any ideas, guys?

When your in windows press ctrl + alt + del all at the same time and see what process is taking up your cpu usage.

Thanx Jono, there about 15 of them!

Should I try to close one at a time and see?

find out which process is the highest cpu usage first before stoping any! Then post what it is before stopping it.

No, it just brings up a list, no options, apart from closing down and ending a task.
