I have had to ask this question again because my original post i can't find anywhere (sorry)

Up until recently both programmes worked great, but now clone cd will image a disc but wont copy the image, i get this error message
"writing to cd failed: MEDIUM ERROR: WRITE ERROR: RECOVERY NEEDED (3:0x0c: 0x07)" i get this message with everything (psx.ps2.vcd.music)

i use an acer 56x cdrom for imaging, and a plexwriter 12/10/32A for writing, i havnt adjusted any of the settings, and i havn't rearranged the way the cdrom and writer is setup in the pc.

Also cdrwin will not copy cd to cd and it will not copy to image and record (images but crashes on record), yet again none of the settings have been changed.
The only way i can record anything is to use cdrwin and image to cuesheet then record the cuesheet, this is the only way it will work, so therefore the writer must be ok..
I would just like to add that these 2 programmes worked fine and then went all to hell suddenly for NO reason.
I have tried updating clone and cdrwin, but still get error's, and i have also formatted and just had clone on the pc, and still errors.

please help me to find out whats gone wrong.

I'm moving this to cdrw. Perhaps you'll have more luck over there.

have you tried changing your blank cds for a different make.

The cdrom must have gone wonky, i tried imaging and recording with the plexwriter and it is fine..so i think i will dump this new 56x acer and go out and find a 40x again.
