What version is this.

DO NOT refer me to the post in the FAQ stickey as I have read it and it is useless and not kept up to date.

SCPH-39003

Serial starts B37

Has 8 screws in the bottom

Also has the hazard sign and the screw in the expansion bay.

Any HELP would be apreciated.

if you turn on the ps2 with nothing in it - you get the browser screen. if you select "configuration" then press the triangle button - it will tell you what version you have

bleepster mate,
That only tells you the SCPH number.. not the version as in 1,2,3,4,5,6,7... e.t.c... you know what I mean! was going to tell him to ' Search " lol... ( wasn't really kaine, just winds bleepster up! ) ;)

@ mike: i DID search, i put in FAQ and nothing came up :) LOL

how come on when i do it on my V5 NTSC System, it clearly says "Version 5"

it does give the SCPH - and unless i was high at the time, it also said what version

i'll double check it tonight when i get home.

Might be different for a N.T.S.C console then mate, bloomin positive it doesn't say it on a PAL one.. might be wrong though.......

It is a PAL and as spagboll says it only tells you the SCPH number when you turn it on not the version number. That is why I ask otherwise I would have been able to work it out for myself!!!

excuse me Kaine, guess you are too smart for me. at least i know what version i have

next time - give ALL the details - would of been useful to know at the start if it was PAL or not

and when i get home, i'll double check it on my NTSC system, as it may be different between PAL and NTSC systems.

if i am wrong, i'll let ya know, and if i am right, you're dang right i'll tell ya about it

Calm down bleepster. I was just confirming what spagboll had said not having a go at you. It would be a good idea if the version number came up on the start up screen with the SCPH.

Thanks for the help BOTH of you.
