Will this game be ripped soon? Just wondering as I need to provide this to 20+ people at my school @ 5$ a copy :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

So anyhow, when can I expect to get this on mirc. Many ppl are expecting this and I told them I could get it by november 5th. Is that realistic?

It might be possible if there's no music, no movies, no nothing, only gameplay. Usually cg movie takes up alot of space, maybe even more then the game it self like ffx. Does everyone at your school, the 20+ people have modchip system? How you think they are gonna feel getting a half azz game that they thought was full. Better get your refund money out kid.

i think this is one of the few games that should be a buyer. i haven't bought any originals yet and i think this will be the first.

This game will only be done justice if it's on dvdr with everything intact. A cdr copy would be a ****, with music and speeches etc. ripped. I might just go out and buy the original of this one. I'll give it a day or so to hear what everyone thinks of it first though. Don't want to buy into the hype and be out of $$.

I'm not one for buying originals, but this game is a MUST OWN.

Theirs always a chance of a rip just like the one of gta3 thats a 4.37gig game, if thid one is on dvd9 it would need to go on a few dvdrs but i personally think it will be a normal dvd.

If you're going to throw down the $$$ and you've got some friends interested in the game as well, just go to the Toys R' Us store at amazon.com...they currently have a buy 2 ps2 games, get 1 ps2 game free...shipping will come out to $6 or 7 so it's still pretty decent...better than $50 a pop anyways...supposedly this will also be at the b&ms soon as well (and will apply to any game, not just those that are $50 as it is currently set up on the website)...

5$ isn't bad, the BST forum sales for cheaper, but at school, I sell my games for 10$, cause no one knows where them for cheaper.

what i said on my first post. I always tell people that i can't guarantee it, ever. Some ppl in this thread need to read my post then read it again so they understand it!!

BTW, if i cant get it, ill just say tough to ppl at school, no loss to me. I'd sell for 10 or more, but one of my friends sells movies for 2$. Everybody just uses him, and he makes nearly no profit inlcuding the time he spends on it.

Rockstar only has 1 really good series under thier belt, even though part 1 and 2 still suck azz.

Top 3 Developer in my opinon is:
1. Nintendo (mario, zelda, metrod)
2. Sqauresoft (final fantasy, xenogear/sega, chrono cross)

Want to save 5 dollar off GTA VC? Go to best buy, look for EGM on thier magazin rack, inside thier's a coupon for a best buy ad, save 5 dollar on any videogame. Rip it out without anyone looking, bring with you to purchase the games.

and besides, i could care less about what dvd format is gonna come in. Some games you JUST have to buy the originals for. this happens to be one of them (not to forget zone of the enders 2, Dmc2, and midnight club 2)

i dont want to start a flame war, but tokyo extreme racer zero is everything that midnight club should of been, that game fell flat on it's face

You thought part 2 was great? Me and a couple of buddy thought it was crappy, especially the control was horrible. Most of the time you're just driving around. Part 3 wasn't even that great either, but the huge hype kinda ruin that for me. I was expecting true greatest but fail short of my expectation when I actually played it. Hopefully vice city will will be the great one.

Max payne was good, but did rockstar develop the game or did they just pubish it? I'm not sure about that, will check on it later.

Well I love all type of game, MGS, Final Fantasy, Any Sports game, Mario Sunshine. GTA 3 isnt' a bad game, and was really funny running people over. The thing i'm most annoy by, is that bystander don't react to certain situation. If you punch a old lady, people will walk by like nothing happen. Thugs walking around with guns and baseball bat, yet the cop around them don't do anything sqaut. Five exact pimp in one walking, they need more varity of people. Not being able to go into building...ect. Maybe i'm just nitpicking, but it's because my expectation was so high. Everyone told me it was the greatest game ever made. That's why I hope vice city will fix this problem, making it seem more realisic. Running over people is fun for the first 5 time you do it, it get lame after the 50th time. You start question your sanity after killing everyone in freaking liberty city. Senseless violence is fun for some I guess. I prefer to kill in style like in Hitman or Metal Gear Solid.

AMEN... this games should be better then GTA3.... I wish you can walk up a person in the games and attach a bomb to them... and run the hell away and blow them up a push of a button.... :laugh:

Ok, back to the main subject. Rice you're screwed. This game will most likely be like FFX and MGS2 both of which have not been ripped and won't be, or else it will be DVD9 in which case it will get ripped, but ripped to DVDR which in itself would be a ****.

I have been over at IGNPSQ and ign's copy of vice is dual layered(gold bottom) and I doubt it will change.Looks like I will have to find a pressed silver:(

There was a DIVX video running around showing certain chips not working with DVD9. If you goto ( magicmodchips.co ) on the front they have an arguement with messiah, there are a few paragraphs below reg DVD9. According to magics paragraph not all there chips in all there consoles support DVD9. So between some systems and some chips this will not work here is the quote from the paragraph...

we have received many enquires regarding support for DV9 (9 gig DVD ROM). Currently, Messiah supports DV9 as standard and will play flawlessly on a Messiah upgraded PS2. Yes, but does it say anything about the Neo 2.2 chip? That's what I use....so if it doesn't have any problems with a Neo 2.2 it's all good...:)

I thought somebody said earlier...as long as thhe chip you have isn't toc realted (as in, u have to boot using an original game with larger toc) then it will boot dvd9

Well, I use Devil May Cry to boot my dvdrs....so I guess I use TOC...but why wouldn't it work with my system? I don't get what TOC has to do with booting a RETAIL game...?

butcher2 I don't think you have anything to worry about. I think people are mainly afraid of not being able to boot DVD9 silvers in the future. If DVD9 becomes popular and we do have a good flow of silver traffic you could be left in the dust w/out a 9GB boot disc. Yet there is a laser calibration issue with some chips and DVD9 where the no swap chips could have problems booting original DVD9, at least this is the theory running rampant now.

If your modded PS2 doesn't read DVD9, you may have to remove the chip. Swap chips have no problem right now, just buy 1 DVD9 game and use it till a bigger one comes out. You can't expect everything for cheap.

No one knows if the DVD9 will even be readable by a PC DVD rom drive, look at X-box and GC
