I have upgraded my motherboard and OS, and since that time, I have experienced failures to close discs which are being written in DAO mode. My writer is an NEC 7900A. I am using WinXP SP1 on an Intel D845BG motherboard.

All of these programs have exhibited the same failure:
- Nero Buring ROM 5.5.9.14
- CDRWin v3.9
- FireBurner v2.17

It writes the disc completely, then during the closing of the CD, it fails, saying something like "Write Error - Finish DAO Command Failed".

Since it happens in all the programs, my guess is that it may be driver-related. What IDE drivers do you recommend/not recommend? What ASPI versions should I be loading?
