Is it possible to hook my HP win98se computer into my Compaq xp home computer and use the CD rom on my HP to add and remove programs from the Compaq ?

Reasons---CD Rom will not open anything on the Compaq pc.
The windows xp was bootlegged and put on before I bought it
I can not uninstall xp because it tells me it is not registered
Can't fix the cd rom because I can't load the programs

Maybe some one knows something I can do. I want to delete XP and put win98 on the comp.

Why not just format the Compaq from a Floppy bootdisk??

It sounds like the XP install is no good anyway!



Start your Compaq PC with a floppy bootdisk (From : www.bootdisk.com )

When you get to the A: prompt type:

FORMAT C:

Once thats done, reinstall Windows98
