As my laptop battery doesn't work anymore, I need to buy a new one and seeing as i would have to pay around £135 for a brand new one, im thinking about buying one from Ebay, which has been used before.

So i wanted to know, if batteries eventually die out like my one did, if i buy a second hand one, does this mean that it might die say the week after i use it. Is there a possibilty ??

Also does anyone know if there is anyway to prevent a battery from dying out or anything ??

Thanks
Kev

Yes it might die in a very short time & no there is no way to prevent it.
You can prolong a batteries life by not leaving it constantly on charge & letting it get flat before you recharge it.

hi the only problem with the battery on ebay is that they might be total
shot at.(aka lose power after a bit)
normal a laptop battery lives up to its life about 1 or 2 years it depends
how many times you got it on charge..........
i got to say the batterys are crap total for this laptop

Sorry m8 but imho buying a second hand battery is likely to be like throwing money down the drain. They have a limited life anyway and why would someone sell a batt cheap if it was any good. A dying battery is one reason people flog their laptops, so what looks a bargain buy aint so cheap if you then have to pay another 140 quid for a decent battery.

I have to agree with the others. Unless you can test out the battery first and be absolutely sure that it's good, you should never buy a used battery.
