i want to copy a dvdr to another dvdr.
do i need a dvd burner and all the software to do this?
i thought that was just for origanols i tried to copy the dvdr just as i would a cd but i couldnt even copy the files onto my computer
anyone help a newbie? please

yes you need a dvd burner to copy to dvdr, you should be able to do a disc to disc copy if the if you are taking it from a dvdr to a dvdr

yeah thats all i wanna do- dvdr to dvdr

If you want to do originals then you will nedd to rip the protection off, use DVD decrypter to make an ISO image and burn back to a blank, as you are a newbie your next post could be about file sizes so remember fat32 has a limit of 4 gig file size (dvd 5's can be anything upto 4.7 gig) and you will have to move up to NTFS to get over this

Ummmmmmm yes you need a dvd writer :)
Most CD writers are incapable of reading/or writing a dvd let alone a dvdr.
When you have a dvd writer, use something like nero or prassi primo dvd to do a straight 1:1 copy of the dvdr.
