Hi, im extremely new to burning dvd. Im burning Panic Room which is like 5.6GBs. Im using rempeg calculator to find out what the avg. bitrate is and the number it gives me is 5064 kbs...however in ReMPEG2 under the options tab the " resulting average bitrate " ranges from 554000 through 4986000 bits/s. Umm...what do i set it to?
and is there really no way to burn a dvd that is over 4.3 GB with out using the Smart Ripper, then ReMPEG2 and then the author edit thingy. ( obviously forgot the name of it ). Please all the help and any would help, and please if you use abbreviations or slang about the DVD ripping, explain b/cuz im new to this.
Thanks,
Garza-

In Rempeg2 you have a sliding scale, move the scale until you reach your required bitrate. Personally I use DVDr Calculator so I'm unfamiliar with the one you mention.
And no you can`t burn over 4.3gb onto a dvdr (you don't mention if you are ripping the enitre disc or just the movie only so I can't advise any further sorry).
