I just bought a brand new Pioneer A06 specifically to read DVD-R's, but it won't read any of my discs. However I can read them in the Pioneer DVD writer.
Any suggestions?

Any suggestions? celtic_druid Oct 27, 2002, 01:18 AM You mean a 106S or 116?? sorr Oct 27, 2002, 06:26 AM Some say 106 some say A06 - both the same. cdrwizard1 Oct 27, 2002, 08:23 AM ao6 is not what it is called, an a06 will be the next dvd writer from pioneer (if they use the same naming) it has yet to be invented  try a firmware upgrade for your a106 it sometimes helps, region free options are available too  pnu Oct 27, 2002, 02:57 PM DVD-106, DVD-106S, DVD-106SZ, DVD-A06S (RPC-2) Sold mostly in europe and is the slot version drive. You can get the latest firmware for this drive region free and much improves the read on dvd-r media |
