carnoogle Oct 27, 2002, 11:25 AM I'm upgrading my p.c. & im looking for a motherboard with cpu & fan.I'm after around 2.2ghz.Wheres the best place to buy & roughly how much? emailrob Oct 27, 2002, 11:40 AM Try www.aria.co.uk, better post in the consumer forum backup2k1 Oct 27, 2002, 11:57 AM hi m8 i would not try this company if its the one im thinking of based in manchester they are total ripp of i had a friend who bought a tower case of them and when he got it home it did not work at all so i had a quick look inside and notice the power supply was blown...... when he contacted the company they said he could bring it back but there will be a charge if its found out to be working so what i did was write down the serial number of the power supply and used a secret marker pen that only shows up in black light when we got there they said no problem we go and check it out 30mins later guy comes in and say there is nothing wrong with the tower and it working just fine when my friend said ok that fine they charged him nearly twenty five pound when we got home i checked the power supply and of course the number did not match the one i had written down and of course they swapped it not bad for a company that cons the odd person out of there hard earn money i would go with scan or if u are manchester based go to ram computers or the pc show at bowlers i would not deal with this company if i was you backup2k1(the name u can trust) beardedwonder Oct 27, 2002, 12:48 PM This will probably be moved to the consumer forum but here's my 2p: www.computerprices.co.uk is pretty good for finding out the lowest prices. I have bought off the website of www.cclcomputers.co.uk and also been to their shop/warehouse and they are probably my favourite PC company to deal with. carnoogle Oct 27, 2002, 01:25 PM thanks guys.sorry wrong forum mods ElaineM Oct 27, 2002, 01:34 PM I'm going to move this to the Consumer's Opinion forum for you. Memphis Oct 27, 2002, 02:23 PM I'd just like to say, against what backup2k1 said, Aria are definatly a good company. I have dealt with them a lot and never had a problem, even if goods were faulty there was no problem with returns. I know of a few others that use them all the time and still no problems what so ever. We live in Scotland and they still manage next day delivery. So I don't know what the deal was with backup2k1's m8, but I can't give enough praise for Aria. jonesm Oct 27, 2002, 06:06 PM I have used Aria found them to be ok with returns, even returned a graphics card with nothing wrong with it, I had bought wrong item they swapped it no problem. rich-t Oct 29, 2002, 05:53 AM Aria do charge to test an item if you think its faulty and it turns out not to be, if it is faulty they will swap it for no charge. I've also taken stuff back and exchanged for different stuff with no probs. rich-t |
