OK, I have read about xbox live updating the xboxdash.xbe file so the new dash fails to load games. Well, I have created a yboxdash.xbe with evo2.5 ybox bios. Is it correct that this yboxdash that boots should be EvoX where xboxdash is the normal retail dash? That way when my xboxdash.xbe is updated via an xbox live disc will my xbox boot as normal, and will I be able to link back to the retail dash? Sorry if this is confusing?

mmmm

one way to find out try the live update if you have a copy of splintercell - its on that.

Yeah, I do.... but I dont want to bugger my machine. Besides, thats an ntsc game and I have a pal machine... trouble will follow methinks?

whats the difference between an ntsc and a pal game - I have a pal machine and I have been playing splintercell without changing any of the options.

Yes, but if you download the updated msxboxdash it could potentially kill the menu surely?

To be honest I don't have a clue. There was a thread a couple of days ago on the Splintercell live update - there was a solution for fixing it. Again I don't know if it works.
