BILL YATES Oct 27, 2002, 04:34 PM get a game doctor man its better IS IT ME OR AM I THE MAN Nov 23, 2002, 08:59 PM bump poorlittlesparrow Nov 24, 2002, 10:48 AM is that the same as disk doctor? do they work well then? deniro-s Nov 24, 2002, 11:21 AM If you have small scratches in the disc you can also just try toothpaste. Basically toothpaste is an abrasive substance, and I've used it many times to polish out small scratches in cds. This may or may not work for dvds too, but I don't see why it wouldn't. DVD's use a shorter laser wavelength making them more susceptable to scratches, but this should work for you. What you have to do is put a small amount of toothpaste on the disc and make small circles with your thumb/finger outward from the disc center. You'll see that the toothpaste causes some small scratches, but they are too small to damage anything. Basically the toothpaste polishes out scratches. Make sure you clean the disc off well and dry it well after. This may sound crazy, but trust me it works. dcmanryan Nov 25, 2002, 01:38 AM game doctor, disc doctor, etc. are all the same. SuperJunxMan Nov 25, 2002, 09:46 AM if u use the toothpaste, make vsure its the paste and not the gel. :hdspin: or u could always boil the cds :hdspin: run a search - there has been many posts on this before...Super |
