Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but i need a burner and it's confusing...i want a good quality burner that works well with XP, the cheaper the better, but quality is still important.
Any suggestions please on where there is a good deal?:D

This is one for the Consumer opinion forum.
A good burner will burn everything, VCD is just a file format so a good data burner is a good VCD burner.

any liteon is my reccomendation. They are an extremely good burner as well as being one of the cheapest. Liteon makes burners that are rebadged for lots of companies including Cendyne, Memorex, Verbatim, TDK and Sony

depends how much you are going to use it ...
Ive had Liteon and Plextor and IMHO Plextor kick the crap outta anything out there - solid, reliable and come with a first class warranty.
However you mentioned price, so maybe go for the Liteon - as you want it for vcd's I suggest you dont burn too high as you'll increase the risk of mpeg errors (green blocks and freezing etc) so maybe a 32x or even 16x - all depends on how much duplicating you wanna do..!
