Very little advertisement on the PS1 version so I had started to wonder if it was ever really coming. Thanx to a small group known as INFUSiON, this release is now available. And only a step behind them, is MiRACLE who released their version later that day. SO we got 2 versins floating out there for us. Thanx to these 2 fine groups. :)

Curious though, is the PS2/X-Box version anything like the PS1 version? Seems to me that this version is a bit of s step down from past ones. The skate areas seem smaller, the game is a LOT harder, and I can't stand the fact that you can only do one goal at a time. PS2 and X-Box versions like this also?

THPS3 was alot different on the PS1 than on the newer consoles - I would expect a big difference between the two THPS4 versions.

Thanks for the info though, I'll have to dig out my PS1 now :)

Controls are the same as past versions. Good but not without their limitations. There is a small glitch in the PS1 version when using the analog stick to "free look" Occasionally, you will get stuck in a sort of drunken, lopsided view. Just restart the run though and the problem is solved. "Free Look" sucks anyway ... very hard to actually see anything.

Music is ok if you're into punk. I always liked the Grind Session music better than ANY version of Tony Hawk.

Loading is fairly quick for PS1. Better on PS2 I'd imagine.

I haven't played the MiRACLE version but the INFUSiON version is flawless. It plays and loads perfectly, no skips, no problems. It might be a tough find though considering INFUSiON is a small, very new group.

Two different groups released the same game. Its still the same game though. It happens a lot in the PC game world.

In stores like toy's-r-us they would of course have the retail version not a downloaded burnt copy.

what he's sayin is that one group released it on the net, and Miracle didnt realize that it was arleady out, or that it was released by a relatively small group so Miracle decided to release it under their name, which would prolly draw more people.... they are the exact same game...t here are not two versions of the game, just two different groups released it
