I was wondering if anyone has ordered a premodded.com system. I got the sporty chip with an external switch, but how does the switch work? If i have it in the down position, it loads evox and plays my dvdrs. If I turn the xbox off and flip the switch up and turn it back on it says my xbox needs service. Is there something Im supposed to change in boxplorer, or do I fire up the dvdr and then flip the switch to turn it off for xbox live maybe? Premodded.com wont email me back.

with the switch up , the chip will not work, and therefore will not run evox (unsigned code) . before activating the switch you will need to change your dashboard back to the original ms dashboard which will obviously run on an unchipped xbox. I assume that premodded left a copy of the ms dashboard there for you to rename - use boxplorer or ftp to rename this then reboot

yeah thats exactly right, look for a file named something to the extent of msdash_old.xbe

I had that problem too, and now i just run evox from a cd if i need to use it. rather than replace the ms dash

so do i just rename the evox dash or actually have to move it with boxplorer?

you need to rename the evox dash to evo_old.xbe, or something like that, and the MS dash back to the original name, so when the chip is off, the xbox will boot the MS dash

will evox still boot with the chip on?

my original dash is now called msdash.xbe. I cant remember what it was first called.

no evox will not boot, since you re-named it to evox_old. if you want to use evox, then burn it to a cdrw, and load it up that way
