Hi, I am planning to buy a ntoebook for personal use (ie school/game)

Can someone gimme some suggestions?

Of course, I can't afford those $4000 canadian dolloars notebook, but reasonable prices should be affordable.

I have purchased a few of Ebay, the last one was Toshiba 6100 at a v reaonable price and it does everything I need and more.

This is near identical to mine and it has never failed in anything thrown at, and it currntly runs .Net Server RC1

Compaq 2720 US. No complaints here, dual optical drives, long lasting battery, and 15 in. screen. A bit heavy though, but doesn't bother me. Firewire already built in

Dell inspiron 8100 tho you can get p4's (inspiron 8200), i have an inspiron in my sig below...no machine can tes it!!!
