When i try to do on the fly copy with nero burner, it comes up with a message that says somthing like your burner, and cd drive are on the same cable this may hamper you using the on the fly mode
Any idea wat i need to solve this? ??

As long as you have a newer system and are not experiencing any buffer underrun I would just ignore the message. Nowadays many people burn on the fly from the same IDE channel without any problems.
This is more a question for cdrw, so I will move it there.

Yeah, it's just a little Nero thing, the warning that is, just ignore it. Some people prefer to put their CD-Rom drive as slave to their HD, but if you are not having any problems copying OTF then I would not worry about it. Or then again you could try it and compare burn times, buffer levels etc to your present set-up.

He, he,he. You posted at the same time as me m8. :D
If that is the case then I would give what I said a try in my post above, I must admit I used to run mine this way (Slave to my HD) and found it much better for OTF recording. But the best answer of all if you do a lot of burning is to buy a PCI ATA 100/133 RAID card which will give you two extra IDE channels meaning you can run your HD, CD, CDRW all on their own channel!
You can get them for £29.99 from www.maplin.co.uk/ with free postage as well. They are dead easy to set-up as well.
Hope this helps. :)

Why would you need another IDE cable?
If you look at your IDE cable connected to your HD you should see another plastic connector 1/2 way up the lead, just connect your CD-Rom to that. You can only connect "2" IDE leads to your mobo anyway.
